2010-12-08 The 3e of Libraries: eScience, eResources, and eServices 研討會

緣起：
科技的發展，帶動知識載體與學術傳播方式的多元化，也改變讀者的資訊取用習慣。數位資源的建置與使用、資訊環境中知識服務的變革，已成為大學圖書館的必要課題。面對新科技浪潮，本研討會以「學術圖書館電子書的發展與推廣」及「數位科技於資訊傳播的應用」為主軸，邀請國內外學者專家共同參與，分享應用數位科技於知識服務的案例，探討未來的發展趨勢，期待能為與會者帶來新的觀點與思考。

Anthony Ferguson (彭仁賢)

Anthony (Tony彭仁賢) W. Ferguson was born in the State of Idaho, which is in the western part of the United States. He took Chinese when a first year university student. He later lived in Taiwan where he developed a fascination with all things Chinese and learned to speak Mandarin Chinese. During his 3.5 years in Taiwan, he spent winters in the North (Taipei, Keelung, and Chungli) and summers in the South (Pingtung, Kaohsiung, Tainan and Chiayi). Upon returning to the US he resumed his studies and eventually obtained masters degrees in Political Science and Library Science from the University of Washington, Seattle and a doctorate in Comparative Education and Higher Education Administration from Columbia Teachers College. He has served in library management positions at three universities, including 16 years at Columbia University before coming to the University of Hong Kong 9.5 years ago. He loves to travel in China but has not yet gone to Gansu, Qinghai, or Tibet.

Thomas Ng (吳宏權)

吳宏權先生主修設計，企業傳訊及教育資訊科技。先後任職電視台設計師，廣告美術主任及公關公司創作總監。亦曽任教多項設計課程。加入香港科技大學教育技術中心設計組及出任出版技術中心主管至今，著力提倡電子教學及流動學習，並推動大學出版數位化及多元化。吳先生亦擔任香港職業訓練局印刷及出版業訓練委員會委員，香港學術及職業資歷評審局學科専家，協助評定課程學術水平。

Thomas NG majored in design, corporate communications and ICT in education. He had worked as designer, art director and head of creative services in broadcasting company, multinational advertising agencies and PR consultancy respectively. Thomas also taught design courses before joining the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as Head of Graphics in the Educational Technology Center, and now as Director of Publishing Technology Center.

Thomas actively involves in e-learning and mobile learning in HKUST. He also promotes e-publishing and digital multimedia to enhance teaching and learning. Thomas is a member of the Printing and Publishing Training Board of HKVTC. He also serves as a Subject Specialist for the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications.

Anthony Ho (何育群)

何育群先生畢業於香港中文大學和香港科技大學，並持有資訊科技學士及碩士學位。現任科大出版技術中心數碼媒體技術組長。負責開發主要項目包括m.HKUST iPhone軟件、課堂遙控拍攝系統、科大數碼錄像頻道及圖片庫等網站。何先生擁有超過10年大型網站開發經驗，其中包括「燦爛的中國文明」多媒體網站及香港大型網上書店。何先生積極推動網絡及流動技術，尤其應用於優化大學的教學。

Anthony HO received his BSc and MPhil in Computing Science from Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) respectively. Currently, Anthony is the unit head of Digital Media Technologies team in the Publishing Technology Center (PTC) of HKUST. He is in charge of several major projects in PTC, including the m.HKUST iPhone app, Remote Video Capture system, HKUST Video Channel and the University’s photo archive.

Anthony has over 10 years of experience in developing large scale websites, including the “Splendid Chinese Culture” multimedia website funded by the Quality Education Fund for all primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, and one of the largest online bookstores in the City. Anthony also promotes actively the use of internet and mobile technologies to enhance teaching and learning in HKUST.

施雅茹 Yaru Shih

資策會MIC產業分析師
專業於多媒體消費性電子相關領域之研究，專責電子書閱讀器、可攜式多媒體播放器等可攜式產品研究。曾參與無線區域網路、SOHO Router與無線個人網路技術研究，並協助執行經濟部委託之「雙網計畫」、行動台灣（M-Taiwan）及民間委託「消費性電子與通訊關鍵IC市場研究」等專案。曾任國內DRAM IC設計大廠行銷企劃部門，負責消費性電子產品應用分析。國立交通大學科技管理研究所畢業。
